Meta reported strong growth in advertising revenue last week and its forecast for third-quarter revenue exceeded market expectations.

The company has cut 21000 jobs since last fall, and its previous results have not been satisfactory.

In July, Meta launched a new version of its open source artificial intelligence model, Llama. The model will be distributed through Microsoft's Azure cloud service and will run on the Windows operating system.
