Cocos Creator 3.8 announced the completion of the dual-core engine architecture, claiming that each platform is a "native" performance performance:

C++ high-performance kernel: when released as a native application, the underlying engine runs with the kernel driver project written by C++ to ensure optimal performance.

Web3D kernel: when released as a Web / Mini Game application, the Web3D kernel written by JS will be used at the bottom of the engine to ensure the smallest engine package and the least code redundancy.

In addition, the Cocos engine team worked with the OpenHarmony team to integrate support for the upcoming open source Hongmeng OpenHarmony 4.0 release.

Cocos Creator 3.8 also includes a number of detail enhancements, covering post-effects pipelines, rendering effects, 2D & UI, physical systems, animation systems, etc., as well as support for the Google Play Games on PC gaming platform.
