CTOnews.com, August 3, recently, Musk installed a huge "X" sign on the roof of the X headquarters in San Francisco, causing dissatisfaction and complaints from surrounding residents. The logo is installed without permission and appears to be "unstable" and "annoying flashing lights". On Monday, workers removed the sign.

San Francisco's building inspection department told foreign media Insider that the owners of the X headquarters building at 1355 Market Street will be fined for not having a relevant construction permit. The amount of the fine is unclear. Insider contacted representatives of Company X, Musk and landlord SRI Nine Market Square LLC, a subsidiary of Shorenstein, a real estate investment firm, on Tuesday but received no reply.

Musk bought Twitter last year for $44 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about 316.36 billion yuan) and renamed it X. On Friday, he installed the "X" sign on the roof of his headquarters, causing the city's building inspection department to issue a violation notice. Over the weekend, the department received 24 complaints about the sign, including "concerns about its structural safety and lighting".

This is not the first time Musk has had a dispute with his landlord, who sued Musk and Company X in January, accusing them of failing to pay millions of dollars in rent.
