Qualcomm cooperates with Hyundai Automobile to develop PBV car machine system using Snapdragon scheme.

CTOnews.com August 3, Qualcomm issued a press release on Thursday, saying that it will provide Snapdragon solutions to Hyundai Motor Group for purpose-oriented special purpose vehicles (Purpose-Built Vehicle;PBV).

Hyundai Motor is currently developing PBV with next-generation mobile solutions to provide better service in terms of comfort, health care and business activities beyond safely delivering owners and passengers to their destinations.

Qualcomm said the infotainment systems on these PBV would use the Snapdragon car cockpit platform to achieve "comprehensive, seamless connectivity and intelligent user experience".

Citing a Qualcomm press release, CTOnews.com said that the latest generation of Snapdragon's cockpit platform provides the best power consumption, while providing top graphics and top immersive multimedia and audio experiences.

The new generation Snapdragon automobile cockpit platform is equipped with the latest artificial intelligence engine and machine learning function, which can realize advanced applications such as vehicle virtual assistance and adaptive man-machine interface, and promote natural communication between vehicles and passengers.

In addition, the platform also provides location services, emergency calls, noise reduction, dual-card functions and cloud-based monitoring and management systems.
