CTOnews.com August 6, Bloomberg Mark Gurman revealed in the latest issue of Power On newsletter that Apple's annual iPhone event is expected to be held on Tuesday, September 12 or Wednesday, September 13 this year.

According to Apple's usual practice, preorders for the new iPhone will begin on Friday, September 15, and will be available on September 22, a week later.

9to5Mac reported last week that several carrier partners had banned employees from taking time off on Wednesday, September 13, in response to "major smartphone launches."

As far as CTOnews.com knows, Apple's iPhone event is usually held on Tuesday, US time, except for those weeks that coincide with the Labor Day holiday, the first Monday in September.

If this happens, Apple's launch event is usually postponed to Wednesday so that the media can travel the day before without affecting the Labor Day holiday.

But in fact, this year's Labor Day does not conflict with September 12, so we can assume that there will be a launch on Tuesday, September 12, but it is not impossible to postpone it to Wednesday for some reason.

However, Apple usually sends invitations to the media a week in advance, so we can confirm the date of the event.

In addition to the iPhone 15 series, the September launch is expected to include new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models, as well as final details and release dates of iOS 17 and related operating systems, as well as possible other announcements.
