CTOnews.com, August 8 (Xinhua)-- Japanese electronics manufacturer Fujitsu has confirmed that it will stop selling PC in Europe in the spring of 2024 due to poor sales in its PC business and bearish prospects for the future.

A Fujitsu spokesman told The Register that the company is transforming into a "DX company" aimed at promoting digital transformation and emphasizing sustainability.

After careful consideration, Fujitsu finally came to the conclusion that the company will stop dabbling in client computing devices throughout Europe.

Fujitsu said that existing products will continue to provide support, and products during the warranty period will continue to be maintained accordingly.

Fujitsu said that the future European business development strategy is in line with the development goals of "DX" and focuses on fostering a business framework with sustainable development and transformation as the central theme, CTOnews.com reported, citing The Register media.

This means that Fujitsu will no longer sell LifeBook laptops, tablets and Esprimo PC in the European market after the next eight months.

Fujitsu said the decision was limited to the European market and other markets would not be affected. Fujitsu said its focus in the European market would shift to the server and storage business, as well as product-related services.
