CTOnews.com August 8 news, according to foreign media businesskorea reported that SK Group recently officially launched hydrogen energy business, with liquefied hydrogen production and charging as the core.

On August 6, SK Energy, owned by SK Innovation, opened a large hydrogen bus and truck hydrogen charging station in Netruck House, Incheon, South Korea, which is the second hydrogenation station in South Korea after opening the first hydrogen station in Ulsan in April.

It is reported that the Incheon hydrogenation station is a large hydrogenation station with a hydrogenation speed of 120 kg / h, which can recharge 60 heavy trucks every day and 24 hydrogen passenger vehicles per hour. The Ulsan hydrogen station can charge 40 heavy trucks a day and 16 hydrogen passenger vehicles per hour.

By launching a hydrogenation station, SK Energy aims to further expand its hydrogenation business and transform itself into a green energy platform provider. SK ethers is responsible for hydrogen production of the SK Group and is currently building the world's largest liquefied hydrogen plant at the SK Incheon petrochemical base in Incheon.

The facility purifies gaseous hydrogen to high purity and cools it to-253 ℃, making it liquid. The daily output of liquefied hydrogen is 90 tons, and the annual output of liquefied hydrogen is 30,000 tons.

The SK Group has also increased its investment in hydrogen and other alternative energy sources, announcing in the Sustainability report that it will invest a total of 12.4 trillion won in energy-related projects by 2025 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 68.2 billion yuan).
