Foreign media revealed that the support page for the feature seems to have been online for at least a few weeks, and they also contacted Google spokesperson Colette Garcia. Garcia said Google had quietly rolled out this "grammar checker" feature at the end of June.

Colette Garcia also claims that the grammar checker uses AI to work, but warns that the current grammar checker may not be 100 percent accurate and will take some time to improve.
