CTOnews.com August 9, Microsoft today launched the seventh preview version of .NET 8 and the last preview version of the development branch.

"We have released a final preview of .NET 8 and will now move to release candidate versions," Microsoft's Richard Lander said in a press release.

This preview update mainly improves System.Text.Json and codegen, adds support for. NET MAUI and keyboard accelerator, but this preview version finalizes almost all the new features. Instead of adding new features in subsequent release candidates, it fixes various BUG and polishes the details.

CTOnews.com Note: Microsoft released the first preview version of .NET 8 in February this year and has released regular preview updates since then. Microsoft plans to release the official version of .NET 8 on November 14.
