CTOnews.com, August 11, Microsoft recently released the latest preview update of Microsoft Edge browser 117.0.2024.1 for Dev channel users. In addition to fixing the BUG left over from previous versions, the biggest improvement is the addition of touch mode.

After upgrading to Edge 117, users turn on the "appearance" option in the settings, and you can see the "touch" area on the right. After enabling touch mode, Edge browsers will increase the size of browser elements such as buttons and tabs to optimize the touch experience.

Before enabling

At present, there are three options for enabling touch mode. CTOnews.com attached the following description:

Automatic (default): touch mode will automatically turn on when Microsoft Edge recognizes that you are using the device as a tablet.

On: touch mode will always be on.

Off: touch mode will always be turned off.
