CTOnews.com August 13 news, Intel's official website recently issued a notice, revealing a vulnerability codenamed INTEL-SA-00812, which will affect some of the Ruiju A770 / A750 graphics cards sold between October and December last year.

This security vulnerability is of moderate severity and is at risk of causing a denial of service or information disclosure. The details of CTOnews.com are as follows:

CVE-2022-41984: the hardware protection mechanism of some Ruiju A770 / A750 graphics cards fails, in which privileged users can enable denial of service, and the CVSS score is basically 4.4 (medium).

CVE-2022-38973: some Ruiju A770 / A750 graphics cards may allow authenticated users with local access to deny service, or improper access control in the case of information disclosure. The CVSS score is basically 3.3 (low).

In both cases, the user is allowed to exploit the vulnerability through local access, and an attacker can launch a DoS attack.

However, as of press time, Intel did not say in the announcement whether it would release firmware updates or patches, but suggested that consumers who purchased the two graphics cards between October and December 2022 contact the local Intel product support department for help.
