CTOnews.com, Aug. 15 (Xinhua)-- Hollywood studios have proposed a new plan to strike writers, including concessions on issues such as artificial intelligence and access to audience data, Bloomberg reported Monday.

The report quotes people familiar with the matter as saying that the Federation of Film and Television producers has agreed to ensure that the authors of the script are human and not replaced by artificial intelligence. The studio will also share the viewing time data on the streaming service with the writers, the report said. Other elements of the plan include that when the writer's program appears on the unscheduled network, the writer's remaining payment will be increased by more than 20%.

Reported that Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has become a powerful force in pushing for an agreement, and Disney CEO Bob Iger has joined him in recent weeks to seek an agreement with the screenwriter.

On Friday, the union representing the Hollywood writers on strike said it had received a counterproposal from the studio and would consider it, a clear sign of progress in the more than 100-day strike.

According to CTOnews.com, the Hollywood writers' strike began on May 2, with the American Writers' Union and major studios deadlocked over compensation, minimum staffing of screenwriting studios and royalties in the streaming era.
