Google said the new "learn while browsing" feature is designed to help people "get more involved" in the creators' long pieces of content, will show key points of articles available for free online, and will not summarize paid articles.

CTOnews.com noted that the new AI feature is currently available on Chrome browsers on iOS and Android devices, and Google plans to extend it to the desktop version "in the next few days."
