Blizzard CEO: the next Diablo will not be released as long as before
CTOnews.com August 16, Blizzard has been controversial recently, but overseas still hold a positive attitude towards Blizzard's games. Ryan McCaffrey, editor-in-chief of IGN, recently posted a post on the X platform, sharing his experience of playing Diablo IV, which mentioned that "although it has been a long wait from three to four generations, I am very happy to experience such a very interesting, deep and repeatable game work."
Blizzard President Mike Ybarra then thanked Blizzard for his approval in a comment and said: "the release interval of future releases will not be as long as before, even though we have prepared more wonderful follow-up content for Diablo 4."

What Mike Ybarra said also means that Blizzard intends to shorten the development cycle of the series. Diablo 3 was released on May 15, 2012, while Diablo 4 was released on June 6, 2023. The interval is nearly 11 years.
