National Energy Administration: by the end of July, China's installed solar power capacity was about 490 million kilowatts, an increase of 42.9 percent over the same period last year.

By the end of July, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.74 billion kilowatts, an increase of 11.5 percent over the same period last year.

According to reports, of the above-mentioned installed capacity of about 2.74 billion kilowatts, the installed capacity of solar power is about 490 million kilowatts, an increase of 42.9 percent over the same period last year, and the installed capacity of wind power is about 390 million kilowatts, an increase of 14.3 percent over the same period last year.

From January to July this year, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2079 hours, 54 hours less than that of the same period last year. The power supply project of the country's major power generation enterprises invested 401.3 billion yuan, an increase of 54.4 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, 1578 hours were hydropower, 523 hours less than the same period last year; 780 hours of solar power, 42 hours less than the same period last year; 1416 hours of wind power, an increase of 112 hours over the same period last year; 4440 hours of nuclear power, an increase of 100 hours over the same period last year; and 2573 hours of thermal power, an increase of 96 hours over the same period last year.

According to the National Energy Administration, China's investment in solar power generation reached 161.2 billion yuan in January and July, an increase of 108.7 percent over the same period last year, and nuclear power 43.9 billion yuan, an increase of 50.5 percent over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 247.3 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com noted that the electricity consumption of the whole society in China in July was 888.8 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 6.5 per cent over the same period last year. From January to July, the electricity consumption of the whole society totaled 5.1965 trillion kilowatt hours, an increase of 5.2 percent over the same period last year.
