Apple Vision Pro head shows new patent exposure, using liquid lens to solve the pain point of glasses clip
CTOnews.com August 18 news, including Apple's own Vision Pro head show, the current mainstream AR / VR head pain point is that it is not friendly to vision correction users.
These users either wear glasses and are unable to get a long comfortable experience, or customize special glasses clips (usually for an extra fee), and the experience is not comfortable enough.
Apple recently applied for an electronic device with a liquid lens, which outlines possible future head display designs.
CTOnews.com learned from the patent that the lens in the head display device uses an adjustable liquid lens, each lens may have a lens cavity filled with liquid, and the lens chamber may have a rigid and / or flexible wall that forms the surface of the optical lens.
The actuator, pump and reservoir system can change the lens surface according to the control circuit signal, thus adjusting the refractive index.
If Apple applies the patent to a future Vision Pro head display, the liquid lens will dynamically adjust the focal length and refractive index according to the wearer to provide a more comfortable wearing experience.
Apple's patent also describes future Vision Pro designs: if necessary, the headdisplay device can be polished into a pair of regular glasses with left and right legs, nose bridge, lens frame, etc., configured as a glasses frame.
