China's first large-scale sky survey space telescope is being developed and will fly independently with the space station for a long time.

Thank you, Mr. Air, CTOnews.com netizens, for the delivery of clues about the past in the West window! CTOnews.com, August 21, China's manned Space Engineering Office recently held a briefing on the space application and development of manned space engineering. Lin Xiqiang, spokesman for China's manned space program, said that China's first large-scale sky survey space telescope is currently under development.

The Survey Space Telescope is an important part of the Chinese space station, which has high spatial resolution. After entering the orbit, it will carry out deep-field observation of a large area of 17500 square degrees, as well as fine observations of different types of celestial bodies.

According to CTOnews.com, the Sky Survey Space Telescope can obtain a high-resolution image of the panorama of the universe. After launch, it will have the same spatial resolution as the Hubble Space Telescope, but the field of view angle is more than 300 times that of Hubble.

According to the plan, after launch, the Sky Survey Space Telescope will fly independently with the space station for a long time, carry out sky survey observation, and stop at the space station for short-term replenishment and maintenance upgrades.
