The International Labour Organization has released a report that generative AI focuses on female-dominated clerical positions.

CTOnews.com August 22, the International Labour Organization (ILO) recently released a report saying that generative AI will not take over or replace everyone's jobs, but it will have a greater impact on clerical jobs dominated by women.

Women account for a higher proportion of clerical-related jobs, especially in developed countries, the study said. In high-income countries, 8.5 per cent of female jobs are highly automated, compared with 3.9 per cent for men.

The study suggests that most jobs and industries are moving towards automation, and that generative AI is a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, existing jobs.
