CTOnews.com August 22 news, TrendForce released the latest panel industry chain supply and demand and price report.

CTOnews.com noted that in late August 2023, the prices of TV panels of all sizes maintained an upward trend, while the prices of display panels of all sizes and some laptop panels also rose slightly:

TrendForce analysts pointed out that in order to maintain the rising trend of TV panels, panel manufacturers still choose to continue to control production after entering Q3, while brands in order to maintain sales, the increase in retail prices of the whole machine can not reflect the increase in TV panel prices, so some brands are on the verge of financial losses in Q3.

It is said that Chinese TV manufacturers are currently preparing for double 11 and are expected to reach a peak at the end of September, which is expected to increase Q3 TV shipments by 11.9% to 52.24 million units, but is still 1.3% lower than TrendForce's previous estimates. Global TV shipments are expected to be revised down to 198 million units this year, down 1.5% from a year earlier.

TrendForce points out that Q4 purchases are expected to fall by a further 7.3 per cent as panel purchases by TV brands peak in September. Therefore, careful production control is still the key to maintain the price of TV panel.
