Atari launches the Atari 2600 + game console, offering hundreds of games to play
CTOnews.com August 23, Atari today launched a game console called Atari 2600 +, which is a modern replica of the original Atari 2600.
CTOnews.com Note: it has been nearly 48 years since the Atari 2600 game console was released on September 11, 1977. The console was all the rage that year and became the representative console of the second generation of video games (Sony's original PlayStation was released in 1994 and belongs to the fifth generation).
According to reports, Atari 2600 + can play hundreds of Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 game cassettes, with complete backward compatibility. CTOnews.com comes with a complete list of games, and you can see if the old cassette in your drawer is suitable for this new console.
Of course, even if you don't have a corresponding game cassette, Atari will provide 10 game cassettes for Atari 2600 + buyers, and additional game tapes for the console at launch, including games such as "Berzerk Enhanced Edition" and "Mr. Run and Jump".

Although the Atari 2600 + looks a lot like the original Atari 2600, it is actually only 90% of the size of the Atari 2600, so it doesn't take up much space.
In addition, it also provides modern features such as a HDMI interface, so it can be connected to a modern TV, and even the game slot is slightly larger than the original, so it doesn't stick too often.
In addition to the console itself, it bundled the CX40+ joystick / handle, as well as copied the joystick from the original Atari 2600.
In addition, the console comes with a second joystick interface, so you can buy a second CX40+ joystick for two-player games. It is worth mentioning that Atari also said it would provide it with a CX-30 controller.
The Atari 2600 +, which comes with a CX40+ joystick and 10 game cassettes for $129.99, will go on sale on November 17, with an additional $24.99 if you want to buy an additional CX-40 joystick.
In addition, you can buy two CX30+ controllers plus four game cassettes (Breakout, Canyon Bomber, Night Driver and Video Olymppics) for $39.99 (currently about RMB292).
