New Android 14 feature exposed: URL can be automatically attached when users share screenshots of web pages
According to CTOnews.com, August 23, Android currently has a seamless experience in sharing screenshots of web pages, but URLs need to be copied and shared separately. It is reported that the future Android 14 will combine screenshots and web addresses into one, making it easy for users to share.
Mishaal Rahman, an Android expert, revealed on his Patreon account that Google is working on a feature that automatically attaches links to web pages when sharing screenshots.
Rahman also shows a video showing that the URL is automatically added to the screenshot's sharing menu (see the screenshot at the top of this article). "this feature uses the same API sharing function as URL on Pixel and Asustek phones, which means it is compatible with applications such as Chrome and YouTube," Rahman explained. CTOnews.com notes that mobile phones from Asustek and Google can get and share links to web pages in the recent app menu.
It is not clear whether this feature will be available in the core version of Android 14 or in later versions such as Android 14 QPR1.
