CTOnews.com August 23, the RISC-V architecture is open source, streamlined and scalable, and half of the 10 billion RISC-V chips produced worldwide in 2022 are from China.

The 2023 RISC-V China Summit was held in Beijing today, at which Pingtou unveiled the first self-developed RISC-V AI platform.

According to reports, through deep cooperation between hardware and software, the platform improves the performance by more than 80% compared with the classical scheme, supports running more than 170 mainstream AI models, and promotes RISC-V to enter the era of high-performance AI applications.

Pingtou said that by updating the self-developed one-stop AI deployment suite HHB, they achieved an average 88% improvement in typical network performance compared with third-party tools, and increased support for running more than 170 mainstream framework AI models, such as Transformer, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and so on.

Based on this, Pingtou released the first RISC-V full-stack hardware and software platform for multimedia AI enhancement scenarios.

The platform abstracts the computing power of the new Vector, Matrix and third-party hardware of RISC-V expansibility, connects to elastic computing libraries such as OpenCV and CSI-NN, integrates multimedia processing processes, and forms a business-oriented pipeline design, which facilitates users to enhance and optimize AI in different steps of the pipeline, and speed up various applications such as detection, classification, tracking and overscore.

According to CTOnews.com, Pingtou is also a founding board member of RISE, the global RISC-V software ecological program, and other members include Google, Intel, Samsung, Nvidia, MediaTek and other 13 companies.
