Microsoft enhances Cameo function in PowerPoint: optimize UI and refine video control

CTOnews.com August 24, Microsoft recently issued a press release to further enhance the "Cameo" function in PowerPoint applications on Win10, Win11 and macOS platforms.

With Cameo, you can insert a live camera source directly into an PowerPoint slide. You can then apply the same effects as pictures or other objects to the camera source, including formatting, switching effects, and styles.

Microsoft said that since last year, it has invited Microsoft 365 subscribers to test the Cameo function. During this period, Microsoft received a large number of user feedback and suggestions, and timely optimization and improvement.

Microsoft further enhanced Cameo features in its press release, mainly including:

Camera Preview and Source Control: users can now turn camera preview on or off and change the camera source in slide show view or presenter view mode. This allows for more control over when and how the Cameo appears in the presentation.

Improve its design and consistency: further optimize the Cameo interface to integrate it more deeply into PowerPoint presentations to ensure consistent themes

Personalized Cameo style: users can insert a relief on a slide, customize its format, and then apply the same format to all slides with a single click. This ensures that the guest star maintains a consistent style in all slides.
