CTOnews.com August 26 news, technology journalist Janko Roettgers obtained the Meta next-generation smart glasses Ray-Ban Stories 2.0 internal documents. According to reports, the new glasses will allow the wearer to record video on the spot and stream it. When the wearer makes a recording or live broadcast through the device, the built-in LED light source will flash.

CTOnews.com noted that the wearer can also hear viewers' comments through built-in headphones during live streaming, can increase the volume of audio playback based on ambient noise, and is expected to get a better camera and longer battery life.

According to The Information, Meta is still developing AR glasses and plans to produce 1000 first-generation AR glasses next year. To make the glasses, Meta uses complex and expensive arrangements involving factories at Chinese mainland, Taiwan and the United States.

Meta decided to test a special and expensive compound in the lens, which cannot be easily exported outside the United States because of policy. Therefore, Meta must assemble the lenses in the United States, while the rest of the glasses are made in Chinese mainland and Taiwan, respectively.
