CTOnews.com, August 30 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft announced plans to cut 10,000 jobs after it was reported that virtual reality departments such as HoloLens would focus on "optimization", but the latest news is that Microsoft has found a new partner customer outside the U.S. Army-Boeing.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that Boeing's Australian subsidiary Field Service Representative (FSR) announced a partnership with Microsoft to seek virtual help from the US Air Force (USAF) 1400 kilometers away from the Royal Amberly Air Force Base (RAAF) in Queensland to quickly troubleshoot aircraft failures and carry out repairs.

Microsoft and Boeing worked together to create the enhanced training Operations maintenance (ATOM) program, said U.S. Air Force Private Anthony Cardoni (Anthony Cardoni), who was involved in the program:

HoloLens brings a new technical experience and provides a new vision for the maintenance of aircraft. Through HoloLens, I was able to talk to Boeing engineers miles away, just as they showed me live, and the experience was unprecedented.
