CTOnews.com, Aug. 30 (Xinhua)-- General Motors announced on its website that it is working with technology giant Google to explore opportunities to use AI in cars. It is understood that GM and Google Cloud will have a "broader cooperation" with Google Cloud around the generative AI, which has already been aimed at GM's OnStar IVA (CTOnews.com Note: Interactive Virtual Assistant built into GM's interactive AI).

General Motors said the ▲ system will be supported by the intention recognition algorithm (intent-recognition algorithms) provided by Google to provide OnStar users with responses to common queries, as well as routing and navigation assistance.

In June this year, Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft jointly announced that they are working together to expand the use of AI in Mercedes-Benz cars, and this plan is to integrate AI technology into the vehicle's voice control system. Mercedes-Benz said the partnership will bring ChatGPT experience to car owners through Microsoft's Azure OpenAI service.

In the domestic market, car companies such as Xiaopeng and Great Wall have also gradually introduced AI,CTOnews.com into their machines. It was reported earlier this month that Great Wall Motor announced that it became the first application exploration partner of the Apollo Wenxin model.
