Large models of eight enterprises / institutions, including Baidu, Byte, Zidong Taichu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Baichuan Intelligence, and Zhisu Huazhang, are on the first list and can be officially launched to provide services to the public.

Baichuan Intelligence announced the adoption of the "interim measures for the Management of generative artificial Intelligence Services" for the record, opening services to the whole society from today. It is reported that there are eight large model companies in the first batch of large model companies approved for the record, including:
Five Beijing enterprises and institutions: Baidu (Wen Xin), Douyin (lark big model), Zhisu AI (GLM big model), Chinese Academy of Sciences (Zidong Taichu big model), Baichuan intelligence (Baichuan big model)
Three Shanghai enterprise organizations: Shang Tang (Rixin big model), MiniMax (ABAB big model), Shanghai artificial intelligence laboratory (scholar general big model)
Ali Tongyi Qianqian, 360Zhinao and iFLYTEK Spark were not included in the first batch of approved lists.
CTOnews.com noted that the interim measures for the Administration of generative artificial Intelligence Services was issued on July 10 this year, which was examined and adopted by the State Internet Information Office in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other seven departments, and will enter into force on August 15, 2023. The method encourages the innovative application of generative artificial intelligence technology in various industries and fields, generates positive, healthy and good quality content, explores and optimizes the application scene, and constructs the application ecosystem.
Where laws or administrative regulations stipulate that the provision of generative artificial intelligence services shall obtain the relevant administrative license, the provider shall obtain the license in accordance with the law. Generative artificial intelligence services for foreign investment shall comply with the provisions of relevant laws and administrative regulations on foreign investment.
