Apple lists 2017 MacBook Pro computers for Touch Bar as outdated products
CTOnews.com, Aug. 31-Apple has now added 2017 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar to the global list of Mac outdated products.
Generally speaking, Apple will identify the device as obsolete within five years of its end of sale. These products are no longer guaranteed to be repaired at the Apple Store and Apple's authorized service provider, but the ultimate availability of services depends largely on whether replacement parts can be found.
The ▲ Chinese website has not been updated yet, and Apple has added the 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar to the list of outdated products, which are on sale until 2018.
Apple first introduced the Touch Bar setting for the MacBook in 2016, but now there seems to be only a 13-inch MacBook Pro still offering Touch Bar. (CTOnews.com Note: Apple restored the physical function keys on the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2021.)
