CTOnews.com, September 2 (Xinhua)-- Mercedes-Benz announced a preview of its new model, the CLA concept car, on the eve of the upcoming Munich auto show. The car is positioned as an "entry-level luxury" model, and it is also the first model developed based on Mercedes-Benz's new MMA platform architecture (CTOnews.com Note: Mercedes Modular Architecture).

In terms of appearance, the car uses some elements of the EQ family of existing motorized sequences of Mercedes-Benz, but also uses a large number of new design languages. The car is equipped with a large front grille and has a dense trigeminal star shape similar to that of the EQ series, but the overall shape of the front grille is more similar to that of fuel models. In addition, the shape of the whole front looks very smooth, and there don't seem to be too many sharp lines.

Before the front face was announced yesterday, Mercedes-Benz released a preview of the profile of the new car's side lines. It is expected that the new car will still adopt a streamlined design, which is quite dynamic as a whole. In terms of configuration, Mercedes-Benz previously disclosed that the new car will be equipped with a new MB.OS operating system, claiming to reach "new heights" in infotainment, intelligent driving and other aspects.

In terms of power, the car will have a range of 466 miles (about 749.95 kilometers) and consume about 12kWh for 100 kilometers. In addition, all models based on the MMA platform will support 800V ultra-fast charging.
