In this regard, CTOnews.com asked Tencent customer service.

Tencent customer service replied: "message withdrawal can click sent message > Click withdraw to withdraw the sent message. Wechat 7.0.10 and above can withdraw files (Word, Excel, PPT and other documents) within three hours."

Considerations include:

1. Only messages sent within two minutes can be withdrawn. After withdrawal, both parties can see the prompt in the session box. If it takes more than 2 minutes, it cannot be withdrawn. As the chat record belongs to privacy, Wechat cannot operate.

2. Only voice, text, picture, video, business card, location, file and shared link messages can be withdrawn.

3. If the chat file is more than three hours, it cannot be withdrawn.

In addition, according to the CTOnews.com test, after the user withdraws the file, the other party will also receive a relevant reminder, but the Wechat dialog box will show "message withdrawal" instead of "file withdrawal".
