CTOnews.com, September 3 (Xinhua)-- Apple's next-generation iPad Pro will be launched along with a redesigned keyboard accessory that will make the device more like a laptop, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Goolman.

Last week, Gurman outlined that Apple will redesign the keyboard for the iPad Pro, which will be equipped with a larger trackpad to make the device more like a laptop. Today, Gurman revealed more information about the redesign of the accessory in the latest issue of the Power On newsletter. It is reported that the area around the keyboard will be made of aluminum to provide a stronger structure, similar to the A-side shell of the MacBook, and Apple hopes the changes will make the iPad Pro look more like a laptop.

In addition, the keyboard housing still retains the silicone material currently used and has only one USB-C interface. Goolman believes that the use of higher-quality materials could cause Apple to raise the price of the accessory by $299 (CTOnews.com: 2799 yuan).

The redesigned keyboard is expected to go on sale with the next generation of iPad Pro models, and Mr Goolman said the new tablet would bring "fundamental change" and be the first major update to the product since 2018, using an M3 chip, OLED display and slightly larger sizes to 11 inches and 13 inches.
