The Sichuan-Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway has fully entered the track-laying stage, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

CTOnews.com Sept. 6 news, according to the National Railway Group, the Chongqing-Yibin section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway (referred to as the Sichuan-Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway) entered the track laying phase at 9: 00 today.

The Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming Corridor, one of the main channels of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway in China. Its Sichuan-Chongqing section is located in Chongqing and Sichuan Province. The total length of the main line is about 292 kilometers. At present, it has entered the sprint stage of track laying, online engineering and station building construction.

According to reports, Jiangjin North, Yongchuan South, Luzhou East, Nanxi Station and other station houses have entered the main decoration stage, and the rest of the work is being carried out in an orderly manner.

According to CTOnews.com, the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway starts from Chongqing West Railway Station, via Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, and connects to Kunming South Railway Station with a total length of 699km and a design speed of 350km per hour. A total of 21 stations are planned (Jiulongpo Station is reserved).

The railway department said that after the project is completed and put into operation, it will further improve the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, strengthen the links between the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and central Yunnan, greatly reduce the railway travel time from Chongqing to Kunming, improve people's travel conditions along the line, and effectively promote high-quality and sustainable economic and social development in the areas along the line.
