HDR Vivid video standard, formulated by China Ultra High definition Video Industry Alliance (CUVA Alliance), is an original domestic HDR standard, which was officially released in September 2020.
According to the official introduction, compared with the traditional SDR (Standard Dynamic Range standard dynamic range image), HDR (High Dynamic Range high dynamic range image) can provide more color range and image details, improve the image light and shade contrast, restore the real environment, present exquisite image quality, and make the rendering effect more realistic. At present, all aspects of the industrial chain, including acquisition, production, coding, transmission, playback, decoding, display and so on, are ready for the commercial use of HDR Vivid.
▲ Touyuan MatePad Air, released on Huawei's website in May this year, is the world's first HDR Vivid-certified tablet, and Huawei petal editing has also supported the technology. It is said that with the shooting performance of Huawei Mate 50 series, users can see more realistic pictures, richer color restoration, deeper dark details and more subtle light processing in the video creation interface, and immerse the real visual effects brought by HDR Vivid.
