AMD's SEV-SNP is a secure encryption virtualization technology that helps isolate virtual machines from their hypervisors or virtual machines. AMD previously improved SEV technology by adding memory encryption SEV-ES (secure encryption Virtualization-encryption State) and later memory encryption SEV-SNP (secure nested paging) to prevent side channel attacks.

Intel's TDX (Trust Domain eXtension) helps isolate the virtual machine (VM) from its virtual machine manager (VMM) or virtual machine hypervisor (Hypervisor) (in this case, Microsoft's Hyper-V), creating "trust domains" that make devices more secure.

Computers with AMD and Intel chips can benefit from these improvements, and while adding this feature may not make much sense to the average consumer, it can bring additional security to businesses.
