During Disney's quarterly earnings call last month, CEO Bob Iger also talked about password sharing on Disney + and Hulu. Iger said it was "actively exploring ways to solve the problem of account sharing" and hoped to implement it later this year.

Iger did not give specific figures on how many Disney + accounts were shared by people outside a single family, but he said the number was "very large." As a result, the company has made preventing password sharing "an important priority", and he sees it as an opportunity to help the company grow its business.
