CTOnews.com, September 11, according to the latest retail sales statistics of the Automobile Market Research Branch of the China Automobile Circulation Association, retail sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market reached 1.923 million in August, an increase of 2.7 percent over the same period last year, and 8.8 percent month-on-month growth of 13.215 million vehicles from January to August, an increase of 2.0 percent over the same period last year.

Retail sales in August were even 2% higher than in August, when retail sales peaked in 2017, the best in the same period in history, according to the federation.
