CTOnews.com September 13 news, TeslaMotorsClub forum users posted that today received an email from Tesla, saying that Model S and Model X owners can now upgrade the new brake pads and brake calipers, US users will cost $750 and $2700.

According to reports, the new kit features brake pads with higher thermal capacity and red HTC caliper kit. An upgraded brake pad kit for the Model S and X costs $750 (CTOnews.com note: currently about 5475 yuan), while red calipers for the Model S or Model X Plaid version cost $2700 (currently about 19710 yuan).

Tesla says owners can get a better braking experience and slower performance decay by upgrading brake pads. Tesla also added that Plaid models produced after January 12 this year already feature upgraded brake pads and red calipers.
