Netflix announces renewal of the second season of the King of Thief live-action series
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Daniel Wu in South China, rain and snow for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com Sept. 15, Netflix released the official video, "King of the Thief" author Eichiro Oda announced through the transponder snail: "two weeks after launch, I have just received some good news: Netflix has decided to renew the show." Netflix said the number of episodes and details of the story will be released later.
CTOnews.com speculated from the direction of the original plot that since the first season covered a lot of content-just eight episodes covered 100 chapters, the second season was likely to adjust the story's next storyline to around chapter 218, and the Strawhat Sea Thieves would be looking for a doctor to join the team-- the guessed Jabba.
Steven Maeda, co-show director, said in an interview with IGN that adapting Jabbar was indeed a "challenge".
Oda said they still need to prepare the script, which contradicts Tomorrow Studios's previous statement. Tomorrow Studios has previously said that the script for the second season of the King of Thief series has been completed and that once production begins, the next season could be broadcast within 12-18 months. Production can resume only after the current SAG-AFTRA strike is over.
