At the same time, Ningde Times will also launch a specification-level application version of condensed batteries, which will have mass production capacity in 2023.
CTOnews.com noted that information shows that Comac Times (Shanghai) Aviation Co., Ltd. was established on July 19, jointly owned by Ningde Times, Commercial aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and Shanghai Jiaotong University Enterprise Development Group Co., Ltd. The respective shareholdings of the three companies have not yet been announced. The company's legal representative is Qian Zhongyan, with a registered capital of 600 million yuan, and its business scope includes civil aircraft maintenance, civil aircraft parts design and production, civil aircraft (engine, propeller) production, battery sales, etc.

Wu Kai, chief scientist of Ningde Times, revealed that Ningde era condensed batteries are engaged in the cooperative development of civil electric manned aircraft projects. The energy density of condensed battery can be up to 500 watt-hours / kg, which can take into account both high specific energy and high safety. For comparison, the current energy density of mainstream ternary lithium batteries is about 250 watt-hours / kg; the energy density of lithium iron phosphate batteries is basically 180 watt-hours / kg.
According to the official statement, condensed state batteries use high-power biomimetic condensed state electrolytes, which can build a micron-level adaptive network structure, adjust the interaction between chains, enhance the stability of microstructure, and improve the dynamic performance of the battery. improve the efficiency of lithium ion transport. Condensed batteries also polymerize material systems such as high specific energy positive electrode, new negative electrode, separator and so on.
