The glasses have previously been unveiled at CES 2023 and IFA 2023, and CTOnews.com has reported configuration information, officially calling it a new generation of binocular full-color MicroLED optical waveguide AR glasses.
The AR glasses are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 platform, equipped with 590mAh battery, 6GB memory and 128GB storage space. They adopt binocular full-color MicroLED optical waveguide display screen, claiming brightness up to 1000 nits, contrast ratio up to 100000:1 and supporting 16.77 million colors.
Thunderbird X2 is equipped with a 16MP camera, supporting still photos, video and time-lapse photography, etc. It is also equipped with 0.7cc ultra-small full-color MicroLED light engine component, diffractive optical waveguide high luminous efficiency brightness 3 times increase, micron binocular fusion natural display effect.
In terms of AR presentation, Thunderbird X2 chose a way closer to Google Glass than Microsoft HoloLens. For example, it is equipped with intelligent GPS navigation function. During the movement process, the screen information of Thunderbird X2 can be updated in real time along with the user's journey, which is convenient for quick positioning and interaction.
The glasses can also pop up phone calls and messages, or real-time AI to translate conversations between people. In addition, users can use it to listen to music (reportedly without leaking sound) and the camera can shoot first-view video.
