From January to August, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2423 hours, 76 hours less than that of the same period last year. Of this total, hydropower was 1984 hours, down 469 hours from the same period last year; solar power was 907 hours, 40 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power was 5116 hours, an increase of 121 hours over the same period last year; wind power was 1538 hours, an increase of 79 hours over the same period last year; thermal power was 2999 hours, an increase of 67 hours over the same period last year.

Of this total, solar power was 187.3 billion yuan, up 82.7 percent over the same period last year; nuclear power was 52.2 billion yuan, up 56.9 percent over the same period last year; and wind power was 114.9 billion yuan, up 38.7 percent over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 270.5 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4% over the same period last year.
