It has only been one year since it was launched, and the "circle" function of Circles on X platform is about to be shut down.

CTOnews.com, September 22 (Xinhua)-- the "Circle" feature of platform X was officially launched in August 2022, when Musk was not the official owner of the company. After running the company, this "circle" feature is said to have "influenced the promotion strategy of platform X", so it will be cut after only one year of launch.

According to foreign media pcmag, in April this year, some "circle" posts began to appear on the "For You" timeline of the X platform. "if you want posts to be seen only by your carefully selected circle audience, this is obviously not ideal."

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that Musk had announced that he would cut the feature in July this year, but did not specify the exact reason for turning it off. The company has recently been vigorously promoting its community function similar to the Facebook group, with foreign media saying that "maybe it thinks the circle and the community are too similar, so they can't co-exist at the same time."
