CTOnews.com, September 23 (Xinhua)-- Toyota plans to increase its annual production capacity of electric vehicles to 190000 next year, 600000 in 2025 and 1.5 million in 2026, according to Nikkei.

Toyota also plans to develop and design a new traction battery by 2026 and plans to produce 3.5 million vehicles a year by 2030.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Toyota's engineers combine emerging car-building technologies such as automatic assembly lines and large-tonnage die-casting machines with old-fashioned thinking such as manual polishing and lean production methods, hoping to bridge the gap between themselves and their competitors in pure electric vehicles.
