CTOnews.com, September 25, according to NASA's official website, NASA will hold a media conference call at 4: 00 p.m. eastern time on September 26 to discuss the upcoming annular eclipse. The annular eclipse will travel from Oregon to Texas on October 14, and a partial eclipse can be seen all over the United States.

CTOnews.com noted that annular eclipses, also known as "annular eclipses of fire", occur when the moon approaches the farthest part of its orbit from Earth. Because the moon is farther away from the earth than during a total solar eclipse, the moon does not block the entire sun, but leaves a bright solar ring visible at the peak of the eclipse.

The "Ring of Fire" is only visible in the narrow circular path that stretches from Oregon to Texas and parts of Mexico, Central and South America. Outside the circular path, people in the United States, Puerto Rico and parts of Alaska and Hawaii will have a chance to see a partial solar eclipse, when the moon covers part of the sun without a "ring of fire" effect.

All eclipse watchers need to use special goggles (such as eclipse glasses or special sunglasses) to safely watch the eclipse, and such safety measures must be taken throughout the eclipse, because if you watch directly, even small solar rings visible at the peak of the annular eclipse are dangerous.

In addition, the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 will cross the United States from Texas to Maine.
