CTOnews.com notes that Jam can only be created by Spotify Premium subscribers, but any Spotify user (whether free or paid) can use it.

Open it by:

Click the speaker icon at the bottom of the screen or click the three-point menu in the playlist, album or song to display the "start improvisation" option.

Select the device to play, and users using the same shared Wi-Fi network will be prompted to join the Jam when they open the Spotify.

You can also directly invite users to add songs to Jam: turn on Bluetooth to let friends scan the Jam QR code, or use the "share" function to send links, iMessage, text messages, etc.

Everyone in Jam can add songs to the queue, see who added which songs, and receive recommendations through their own device. The creator can also identify the members of the Jam, change the order of the tracks, or delete songs that do not fit the atmosphere.
