Appeal to the U.S. Supreme Law, Epic "rivaled" Apple because of 30% commission and third-party application market

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in April 2023, upholding the lower court's decision that Apple's App Store did not allow third-party markets and did not violate the Anti-monopoly Law.

The court announced the verdict in 2021, finding that Apple did not violate the anti-monopoly law and was not a monopolist. Epic Games was not convinced and chose to appeal immediately, saying that the original trial court "got the wrong answer" and "made a number of legal mistakes".
