Meta x Ray Pone's new smart glasses: 1200 megapixel camera, starting at $299
CTOnews.com Sept. 28, Meta announced today's Connect event, in addition to the Quest 3, but also partnered with EssilorLuxottica to launch a new Ray Bon x Meta smart glasses, starting at $299 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2186 yuan).
The new Ray Bon x Meta smart glasses look very much like sunglasses, with a 1200 megapixel camera on the right that can take pictures and record 1080p video, and a LED light on the left to remind others that a video is being recorded.
The original Ray-Ban Storie smart glasses are equipped with 5 megapixels and can shoot up to 2592 x 1984 pixels, while the new glasses can shoot 3024 x 4032 pixels.
In terms of video, the original Ray-Ban Storie smart glasses can only capture 1184 / 1184 resolution 30fps video and only 4GB on-board storage, while the new glasses can capture 1080p / 60fps video with built-in 32GB storage.
Ray Bon x Meta smart glasses have five built-in microphones that can record spatial audio, including a receiver hidden in the nose to improve voice quality during calls.
The new glasses are also equipped with better speakers, and officials say the volume has increased by 50%, but not bone conduction.
