CTOnews.com, September 29, according to statistics released by market research agency IDC [PDF], 76% of IT decision makers believe that Mac is more secure than other computers.

Forty-seven per cent of the companies surveyed said the Mac was more secure than other platforms, and their IT department planned to purchase and use more Mac devices, while 36 per cent of IT decision makers thought Apple's Mac was easy to deploy and manage.

The report points out that Mac and macOS provide many security features that are highly praised by enterprise customers, and CTOnews.com attached some of its findings as follows:

Apple's multiple device management API ensures that the device is integrated into the enterprise management system after the first boot

Apple's Terminal Inspection API provides the IT team with a way to ensure device security while maintaining user performance.

Apple integrates the identity authentication system through the built-in SSO framework, which is compatible with modern identity providers (IdP), and enterprises can easily expand to thousands of Mac.

Touch ID on macOS implements local encryption, improves user trust, and provides a seamless hardware and software experience through Apple Silicon, which is a huge victory for IT.
