Japanese startup launches "Gunda" shape robot: 4.5 meters high, 4-wheel layout, priced at $3 million
CTOnews.com, Oct. 2 (Reuters)-A Japanese startup named Tsubame Industries has developed a 4.5m-tall robot with a shape that resembles "Gao Da", with four wheels, a total weight of 3.5t and a price as high as $3 million (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 21.9 million yuan).
▲ Tuyuan Reuters, the scientific name of the robot is ARCHAX, inspired by archaeopteryx. According to reports, the robot is equipped with a cockpit, the internal monitor can receive images from the external camera, and the driver can manipulate his arms and palms through a joystick.
Not enough, the robot has two forms of "robot mode" and "vehicle mode", which can move at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour in vehicle mode.
"Japan is very good at animation, games, robots and cars, so I think it would be cool to create a product that brings all these elements together," said Ryuya Yoshida, 25, of the startup. I want to create a product that makes people think, 'this is Japan.' "
Yoshida plans to build and sell five such robots for robot enthusiasts with deep pockets, and hopes that one day it can be used in disaster relief or aerospace industry.
