The code shows that TikTok is testing an ad-free subscription service, with a monthly fee tentatively set at $4.99

CTOnews.com October 2 news, foreign media Android Authority said tonight that it has found some new strings in the latest version of TikTok App, implying that TikTok will provide users with ad-free subscription services.

The general idea of the two strings is as follows:

We are testing the ad-free program in the TikTok community. By continuing to use it, you agree to {% s} and acknowledge that you have read our {% s} to understand how we collect, use, and share data. You also accept immediate ad-free subscriptions. The price includes VAT.

Allow us to use your data to show you relevant ads, which helps keep TikTok free. You can also learn how we use and protect your data in our s.

At the same time, Android Authority also found the relevant layer of "ad-free subscription" in the new version of TikTok App: the ad-free subscription plan costs users $4.99 a month to open (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 36 yuan).

▲ source Android Authority, however, the media also said that TikTok has not issued any official announcement about this, so it is speculated that this is only a limited test, and the final pricing may be different after the feature is launched to the public.

In addition to TikTok, Amazon is also offering new ad-free options for Prime members in the United States: an extra $2.99 a month (currently about 22 yuan), but even with an ad-free service, live events such as sporting events will continue to include ads.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Amazon's official website issued an announcement announcing that Prime Video will add ads in the United States, Britain, Germany and Canada in early 2024, and then expand to France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia.
